I don't dislike free-form poetry as a rule, but the qualities I do tend to appreciate it for are lacking, here. This is just not my thing; I can't find the rhythm or a beat here, or any compelling imagery other than the general image of 'darkness'. Overall it seems a little bit heavy-handed. But that's just a matter of my taste. If dark, literal poetry with minimal structuring is your thing, be sure to check this one out.

I wished it would have rhymed more but I know that all poetry doesn't rhyme. I enjoyed it either way.
I feel it. The darkness. I guess in simple words this was short and sweet but to the point. It's an amazing piece... if only it were longer.
that was it? 2 pages? now I know why it's free, but it was a nice read, just way to short!
I can't think of any reason (other than vanity) for this poorly written free form poem to be published as an independent work.
1st, I'm glad it was free. 2nd, I've read better poems, and I've read much worse poems. I feel like this is a little too short to be analyzed very well, but hey, it was free.
The poem is short and uneventful. I mean it's really short around one paragraph. One star because it's not worth the money.
